Tessellated Floors – Cleaning & Maintenance

The Renditions unglazed range of tessellated floor tiles has the colour going all the way through the tile. They are extremely hard wearing and abrasion resistant.

To care for our Vitrified Porcelain tiles we recommend the following steps

Step 1 Acid wash

Three to five days after the tiles have been laid and grouted, wash with a phosphoric acid cleaner to remove excess cement, mortar and grout residue from the surface. We do not recommend using hydrochloric acid.

Step 2 Neutralise

Rinse the floor thoroughly with water or a neutral cleaner to remove all acid.

Step 3 Cleaning & Maintaining

To maintain your tiles clean as often as needed with a neutral or heavy duty cleaning product. Abrasive cleaning pads, brushes and brooms can be used to scrub the tiles as they will not scratch or damage the tiles.

Speak to your retailer as to which products they recommend and follow the manufacturer’s application guidelines.
